I write romance for women who are very good at their jobs and very tired of being the only grown-up in the room.

My heroines run things. One is holding a small-town hockey club together with Christmas coming. One is a hacker trying to shut down a billionaire’s data center. One has thirty days to find a husband or lose her grandmother’s restaurant. The men who fall for them have a great deal of money and no idea what to do with a woman who isn’t impressed by it.

Somebody always ends up stuck: snowed in at a ski resort, stranded on a dying spaceship, or living in a town where everybody already knows your business. They get out of it by saying the true thing out loud, usually later than they should.

Every book in the Keeping Room stands on its own, so you can start anywhere. The heat is on the page. Nobody cheats, nothing ends on a cliffhanger, and every story ends happily. That last part is a promise, not a spoiler.

I’m fond of cold buildings, bad coffee, and anybody who is good at a job nobody thanks them for. If that sounds like you, pull up a chair.
